Think you can predict the scores of Major League Soccer games each week?

The MLS Latest Prediction League lets you test your ability to predict the scores of MLS games weekly and compete against other fans from around the world.

How does It work?

Each week you login to your account and fill out a form with your score predictions for that week's games. After the games have been played the actual results will be compared with your predictions and you will earn points on how accurate you were.

Each week you can enter your predictions for upcoming games.

After each week of games points are totaled and you are ranked against others. The more points you earn the higher you will be ranked on the leaderboard. At the end of each MLS season a champion is crowned and points are reset for the next season.

Each week you can track the accuracy of your predictions as well as view how many points you have earned. You can also view the overall leaderboard that will show you how you rank compared to other people.

After the game has been played you can see how accurate your predictions were.

How are points calculated?

Correct result - 1 point
You will earn one point for predicting the correct winning team or predicting a tie. For example, if you predict Salt Lake to beat Colorado 4-2 and the game ends 1-0 with Salt Lake the victor you will earn one point. This also applies to games that end in a tie. If you predict a 3-3 tie and the actual result is 1-1 you will earn a point.

Exact result - 3 points
If you predict the exact score of a game with the correct winning team you will earn three points. This rule also applies to correctly predicting the score of a tied game.

Added to your base point total (either 1 point or 3 points) you can earn additional points for:

Correctly predicting a shut-out (winning team does not allow a goal) - 1 additional point
Correctly predicting a scoreless draw - 1 additional point
Correctly predicting a team winning by 3 or more goals - 1 additional point

To take part in the MLS Prediction League you simply to need to register for an account (it's absolutely free) and then start making your predictions! It's not too late to join up for the 2008 MLS season!
